Cambridge University Press will evaluate book proposals. Its guidelines are comprehensive and vary according to jurisdiction and subject matter. Sufficient material should be submitted in order to assess a proposal. Information to include: Book title, category, reason for writing, proposed length, chapters, content, illustration information, completion date, author credentials, target readership, and market comparisons.
There are individual editorial contact addresses for each subject listed under the principle genre. CUP editors meet regularly to recommend proposals for publication. Authors offered a contract are also required to complete a comprehensive questionnaire to address matters regarding promotion and marketing. CUP also have AuthorHub, an online marketing tool to help equip authors.
